Voor het oog:
helder paarsrood, mooie schittering, matig geconcentreerd
To the eye:
clear purplish red, shiny mirror, moderately concentrated

Aan de neus:
delikaat rood fruit, lichte specerijen
At the nose:
delicate red fruit, spicy too

In de mond:
friszurige aanzet met ook wat fruit, korte afdronk
In the mouth:
freshly acid onset with some red fruit, short finish

Conclusie
Een gewone dagelijkse drinkwijn waar niets mis mee is, tenzij dat hij wat dun uitvalt

a simple daily table wine: nothing wrong, except maybe taht it is rather thin

kan je zo drinken, of met lichte charcuterie

2007

Voor het oog:
helder paarsrood naar framboos neigend, traant stevig
To the eye:
clear purplish red almost like raspberry, solid legs

Aan de neus:
rijp rood fruit met ook wat kruiden, graniet en ledertoets
At the nose:
ripe red fruit with also spicy touch, granite, touch of leather

In de mond:
rijpfruitige mondvullende aanzet met een meer kruidig midden, met nog flink wat zij het niet-aggressieve tannines; halflange fruitig-kruidige afdronk
In the mouth:
ripe fruity and mouthfilling onset, evolving to a more spicy mid-palate with still quite some non-aggressive tannin; semilong fruity-spicy finish

Conclusie
Een stevige Rhonewijn met een mooie structuur - de blend met 5 druiven, waaronder Mourvèdre zorgt voor een solied geheel. Grens B+/A. Kan nog een paar jaar mee

Conclusion
Zesty Rhone wine with a good structure - the blend with 5 grapes, among which also Mourvèdre, guarantees a strong wine. Will last through 2011

Kan veel stevige vleesschotels aan, ook harde kazen

can accompany many a strong meat dish, also semihard ot hard cheeses

CÔTES DU RHONE LES BOUVREUILS 2007 - France - Côtes du Rhône
2007

Voor het oog:
levendig kersenrood, traant stevig
To the eye:
lively cherry, solid legs

Aan de neus:
licht muf in de aanzet, daarna wat rijp fruit en lichte kruiden
At the nose:
slightly muffy at first, then some ripe red fruit and light spices

In de mond:
lichte fruittonen met ook wat kruidigheid, lijkt eerst goed in balans maar daarna vallen de nogal groene tannines op in de halflange afdronk
In the mouth:
light fruit tones and some spices, looks well-balanced at first, but at the end one encounters rather green tannin in the semilong finish

Conclusie
zowel in neus als mond valt deze wijn wat dun uit

both in nose and mouth, this wine appears to be rather thin

Voor het oog:
met paars doorweven kersenrood, matig geconcentreerd, rijke viscositeit
To the eye:
purplish cherry, moderately concentrated, shows thick legs

Aan de neus:
rijke Rhoneneus met garriguekruiden, bosfruit, framboos, donkere kers, kruidnagel en terroir
At the nose:
wealthy Rhone nose with a mix of spices from the garrigue, raspberry and blackberry, dark cherry, clove and woodland

In de mond:
volle fruittonen met duidelijke kruidigheid, vlezig, opgetild door goed zuur en met presente maar niet-aggressieve tannines, halflange fruitig-kruidige afdronk
In the mouth:
full fruity and also spicy palate, meaty, hightened by good acid and clearly present though non-disruptive tannin; semilong fruity-spicy finish

Conclusie
Zowel elegantie als vlezigheid in deze mooi getypeerde Rhonewijn: rijp rood fruit en kruiden gaan hand in hand

Conclusion
Both elegant and meaty, well-typified Rhone wine: ripe red fruit and spices go hand in hand

Drink bij:
Kruidige vleesschotels, Picodon of andere hartige geitenkaas, of ook omelet met rode pepers en gerookte spekjes zoals wij deden
Drink with:
spicy meat dishes, Picodon or other hearty goat cheeses, and also, like we did, omelet with red pepper and smoked lard

Deze wijn draagt de "Villages" appelatie met glans. En zie de prijs! This wine proudly bears the "higher" Villages label, and it shows. And look at the price! "Terra vitis" is een label dat "duurzame productiewijzen met respect voor de natuur" garandeert

DOMAINE DE TOUT-VENT 2007 - France - Côtes du Rhône
2007

Voor het oog:
helder kersenrood met paarse tint, stevig tranend
To the eye:
clear cherry with purplish tint, shows legs!

Aan de neus:
Aanvankelijk wat gesloten, dan mooi gemengde neus van garriguekruiden en bosfruit (braam- en bosbes), koffietoets, met ook duidelijk terroir
At the nose:
Closed at first, then nicely mixed nose of spices (thyme) and small red fruit from the woods (black- adn blueberry) plus mocha, with also clear terroir

In de mond:
stevige donkerfruitige aanzet (braam!) met frisse zuren en redelijk zachte tannine; vrij lange fruitig-kruidige afdronk
In the mouth:
solid dark fruity onset (blackberry!) with fresh acid and fairly silky tannin; long fruity-spicy finish

Conclusie
Goed gestructureerde en mooi geïntegreerde Rhone met het fruit van Grenache, de pit van Syrah en de kruidgheid van Mourvèdre.

Conclusion
Well-structured and nicely integrated Thone with the fruit of grenache, the zesty power of syrah and the spiciness of mourvèdre
