CALIFORNIA SAUVIGNON BLANC 2009 - USA -

Voor het oog:
helder bleek goudgeel, jonge kleur
To the eye:
clear light gold, young colour
Aan de neus:
boeiende neus met gekonfijt wit en geel fruit, witte bloemen, kruisbes(blad), kruiden en boterigheid
At the nose:
attractive nose with confied white and yellow fruit, white flowers, gooseberry (leaf), spices and cream
In de mond:
mooi gevuld smaakpatroon met weer het rijpe witte en gele fruit (appel, perzik, ananas) op een floraal en kruidig bedje en gedragen door mooie zuren; lange tegelijk diepfruitige en bitterfrisse afdronk
In the mouth:
mouthfilling onset with again the ripe white and yellow fruit (apple, peach, pineapple) on a floral and spicy bed, supported by refreshing acid; long both deepfruity ande bitter fresh finish
Conclusie
In alle opzichten verrassende SB, want rijp wit en geel fruit gaan samen met de bekende florale bitterheid, maar nu ook met boter in neus en mond. Ongelooflijke prijs-kwaliteit verhouding. Kan nog 3-4 jaar mee. Grens A+/AA		   Conclusion
Quite surprising Sauvignon Blanc: not only ripe white and yellow fruit and the well-known floral bitternes, but also cream. Incredible quality for the price
Drink bij:
Is eerder een eet- dan een drinkwijn: bij soliede visschotels met broccoli in (soya)roomsaus, stoofpotje van hondshaai ("zeepaling") à la Meus dagelijkse kost, gegrild gevogelte, halfharde kazen
Drink with:
More of a dinner wine: with solid fish dishes, broccoli in soya cream sauce, stew of dogfish with mixed solid vegetables, grilled fowl, semihard cheeses

De naam zegt weinig of niets, de kwaliteit zegt alles! Misschien wel van een groot huis dat in 2009 overproductie kende.The name is insignificant, maybe coming from a great winery that had overproduction, anyhow, superb quality!
