Voor het oog:
matig geconcentreerd kersenrood met paarse rand, stevig tranend (13 % alcoh.)
To the eye:
modertely concentrated cherry with purplish reflections, solid legs
Aan de neus:
eerst komt rijp donkerrood fruit (voorop kers, ook bessen en donkere pruim), daarna kruiden, peper, donkere chocolade en licht gebrande koffie
At the nose:
first ripe small dark red fruit (cherry, also redcurrant and plums), then a more spicy pattern with pepper, lightly toasted moccha and also dark chocolate
In de mond:
In de mond komt eerst het fruit (kers en bes) ingepakt in heel fris zuur, spoedig gevolgd door garriguekruiden en vrij stevige tannines; vrij lange doorsmakende afdronk die lichtjes uitdroogt
In the mouth:
Fruit is the first guest in the mouth - cherry and redcurrant - packed in refreshing acid, soon followed by garrigue spices, and fairly solid tannin; long tasty finish, slightly drying out.
Conclusie
Verrassend patroon: eerst veel fruit en frisse zuren met een zekere elegantie, daarna (vooral na enkele uren) pittige kruiden en vrij stevige tannines. Een echte eetwijn die best nog wat kan liggen. Mooi werk van Cesar Morales. En zie de prijs!		   Conclusion
Surprising pattern: first small red fruit packed in fine acid, later on (after a few hours) lively spices and fairly solid tannin. A true dinner wineCesar Morales keeps up the style of the house. Look at the price!
Drink bij:
we hadden hem bij omelet met groentjes, parmezaanse kaas, pepersaus en knapperige frietjes: heel passend! Zeker ook goed by hartige vlees- en wildschotels
Drink with:
we had it with omelet with vegetable pieces, parmesan cheese, pepper sauce and crunchy fried chips: quite complementary! Certainly also good with hearty meat and game dishes
