To the eye:
deep concentrated ruby with purplish rim, solid legs
Aan de neus:
donkerrood fruit, bosgrond, leder, gedroogde pruimen, vlier en flink getoaste eik
At the nose:
dark red fruit, woodland, leather, dried plums and fairly well toasted oak

donkerfruitige, sappige én friszurige wijn met weer kers, pruim en vlier, waar, naast alle neusindrukken, ook nog chocolade en koffie bijkomen. Lange diepfruitige afdronk

full fruity, juicy and freshly acid wine, where, next to the nose impressions, also appear chocolate and coffee. Long deepfruity finish
Conclusie
Wat een weelde: grote klasse Malbec uit Noord-Argentinië. En tegen zulke prijs! Een ontdekking!		   Conclusion

intense dark ruby with purplish hint, rich viscosity (legs)
Aan de neus:
opstuivend donkerrood fruit (kers, pruim, vlierbes) met ook duidelijke toets laurier en kruidnagel
At the nose:
abundant dark red fruit (cherry, plum, elderberry), with also clear touch of laurel and clove
In de mond:
opmerkelijk sappig fruit in de mond, geheel versmolten met fijne zuren en zachte tannines; lange diepfruitige afdronk
In the mouth:
striking juicy fruit in the mouth, fully integrated with fine acid and silky tannin; long deepfruity finish
Conclusie
Zoals ook in vorige jaren: grote klasse Malbec met ongelooflijke prijs-kwaliteitverhouding: een winnaar!		   Conclusion

vurig jong kersenrood met paarse rand
To the eye:
fiery young cherry with purplish rim
Aan de neus:
een neus van vooral diep donkerrood fruit, en verder kruiden (laurier), mokka, jonge eik
At the nose:
lots of dark small fruit (black- and blueberry), and further spices (laurel), mocha, young oak
In de mond:
sappige donkerfruitige en friszurige smaak, onderbouwd door wat kruiden en goede tannines, die zich doorzetten tot in de kersentonige en vrij lange lange afdronk
In the mouth:
juicy mouth filling with both dark fruity and fresh acid, on a bed of good tannins and spices, and a nice cherry touch in the long finish with still good tannin
Conclusie
een openbaring: als de in Europa impopulaire Tannatdruif in een zonnig bergklimaat als dat van Cafayate kan rijpen en door de handen van een begaafde wijnbouwer gaat, dan krijg je deze kwaliteit. En zie de prijs! Bijna even goed als de fameuze 2004		   Conclusion
a true discovery: when the "impopular" Tannat grape can ripen in a very sunny mountain climate as that of Cafayate and goes through the hands of a gifted winemaker like Miche Torino, then one gets this high quality. And see the price!

we hadden hem bij konijn met zuiderse kruiden en donkere pruim, wijnsaus en Nicolas aardappelen: mooi! Verder diverse schotels van wild over gegrild rood vlees en curry-stoofschotels tot harde kazen

we had it with baked rabbit with southern spices and darkplums, red wine sauce and solid potatoes: nice!; further many kinds of dishes from game overgrilled red meat and curry-stews to hard cheeses

echte Malbec-neus: koffie, donkere kers, braam- en bosbes, tabak, donkere chocolade, bodemkarakter
At the nose:
most of the Malbec aromatic qualities come up: dark cherry, leather, coffee, chocolate, blackberry, woodland
In de mond:
volfruitige aanzet met weer donkere kers, braambes, pruimen, stevig midden, getemd door frisse zuren en zijdige tannines; lange fruitig-kruidige afdronk met koffie in de retro
In the mouth:
full fruity onset with again dark cherry and blackberry,solid matter on mid-palate, with enough acid and silky tannin to tame the fruit; long fruity-spicy finish. Coffee in the retronasal phase
Conclusie
heel mooi gevulde Malbec: donker fruit, frisse zuren en tanninerijk zonder aggressie, één van de beste uit de Argentoreeks tot nog toe. Aarzeling A/A+. Oenoloog Gerardo Tricione levert opnieuw heel goed werk!		   Conclusion
well-filles, dark fruity, meaty yet also fresh Malbec, one of the best in the Argento history. Oenologist Gerardo Tricione brings hig quality again!

Conclusie
Een voor die prijs heel mooie blend van Merlot, Sangiovese en Bonarda, met Italiaanse trekjes! Doet denken aan Santa Cristina van Antinori		   Conclusion

ARGENTO MALBEC MENDOZA 2007 REVISITED - Argentina - Mendoza

aantrekkelijke paarsgetinte robijnkleur, geconcentreerd en stevig tranend
To the eye:
attractive purplish ruby, concentrated, solid legs
Aan de neus:
eerst wat gesloten, daarna ontvouwt zich een rijk aromapatroon met braam- en bosbes, donkere kers, zoethout, chcolade, leder en licht begetale toets
At the nose:
closed at first, then the wine unfolds into a wide aromatic spectrum of black- and blueberry, dark cherry, chocolate, licorice, leather and a light vegetal touch
In de mond:
goed gevulde diepfruitige smaak, licht rokerig, met fijne tannines en vooral ook frisse zuren, die het geheel dragen tot in de lange donkerfruitige en frisse afdronk
In the mouth:
well-filled deep fruity onset, slightly smoky, with fine tannin and especially fresh acid, warrying the whole through a long dark fruity and fresh finish
Conclusie
Een heel mooie diepfruitige Malbec, elegant en toch ook stevig: de bekende stijl van het huis! En dat voor die prijs. Grens A/A+. Bevestigt onze eerdere proef		   Conclusion

delikaat rijp rood fruit, zoethout, lichte kruidgheid

delicate ripe red fruit, licorice, light spices
In de mond:
soepele aanzet met rijp rood fruit en fijne zuren, evoluerend naar een meer tanninerijke en licht uitdrogende smaak in de halflange afdronk
In the mouth:
suplle onset with lots of ripe red fruit and fine acid, evolving to a more meaty palate with solid tannin; slightly drying out in the semilong finish
Conclusie
Wat we al meer hebben gezien bij rode Mendozawijnen: rijpfruitige en licht kruidige neus en aanvankelijk ook mond, met goede zuren maar dan wat uitdrogende finale		   Conclusion
We've seen this before in Mendoza reds: ripe fruity nose and initially also palate, with good acid, but then drying out in the finish
