Concha y Toro ("Schelp en Stier") is één van de oudste (° 1895) en allergrootste wijnbedrijven in Chili. Ze hebben ook enkele basisreeksen. Wat velen kennen is de reeks Casillero del Diablo - een "duivels" goede reeks zowel in wit als rosé en rood en Trivento. Minder bekend is de Sunrise reeks. De naam klinkt wat commercieel, maar hij heeft ook betekenis: hier gaat de voorkeur uit naar sappig rijp fruit in combinatie met peperachtige kruiden en lichte eiktoetsen. In winterse tijden brengen deze wijnen zon in 't hart!

Who is about the greatest winery of Chile? If you say "Concha y Toro" ("shell and bull") you"re right. They have both top wines at high prices (Terunyo) but also basis series. Best known to many is "Casillero del diablo" - devilish good wines in both white, rosé and red. Less well known is the feirly recent series "Sunrise". The name sounds commercial, but there's more to it. Here you get juicy deep fruity wines in combination with peppery spices and light oak touches. In winter times, such wines let the sun shine in your heart!

aromatische neus met exotisch rijp wit en geel fruit, nootjes, boter, vanille (eik) en ook een zekere kruidigheid

aromtic nose with exotic white and yellow fruit, cream, vanilla (oak) nuts and also a spicy touch

even breed smaakpatroon: mondvullende diepfruitige aanzet (ananas, lichee) met ook weerom boterige nootjes, ingebed in goed zuur; vrij lange fruitige en nootachtige afdronk
In the mouth:
equally broad palate: mouthfilling deep fruity onset (pineapple, lichhe) with creamy nutty accent, embedded in good acid; fairly long fruity and nutty pleasant finish

De naam klinkt commercieel, maar de kwaliteit is er volop: diepfruitige, boterig-nootachtige geur en smaak met fris zuur eromheen en een mooie lichte eiktoets. Grens A+/AA		   Conclusion
