Delhaize knalt het wijnfestival herfst 2010 open met een sterk schot voor de boeg: niet zomaar weggevertjes, maar goede tot zeer goede wijnen tegen sterke reducties. Zelfs Bordeaux uit 2009! Wij komen hierop later terug. Hier een eerste selectie na proeverij ter plaatse.

helder strogeel met groene flits, redelijk fijn parelend
To the eye:
clear pale strawwith greenish reflection, reasonably fine bubbles
Aan de neus:
mooi gemengde neus met vooreerst renetappel, dan vbloemen (kamille), een toets exotisch geel fruit en garriguekruiden
At the nose:
nicely mixed nose of first renet apple, then white flowers (camomilla), a touch of exotic fruit and light spices
In de mond:
dezelfde menging in de mond: van friszurig wit en exotisch fruit over florale toetsen tot een kruidig bittertje in de lange soliede afdronk
In the mouth:
the same mixture on the palate: from freshly acid white and exotic fruit over floralo touches to a spicy bitter touch in the long solid finish
Conclusie
volgens de beste traditie van het huis: een heel mooie zowel frisfruitige als bloemige én kruidige cava, met mooie lengte. Ook deze komt in de buurt van goede basischampagne!		   Conclusion

CASILLERO DEL DIABLO PINOT NOIR 2009 - Chile - Valle Casablanca

helder kersenrood, matig geconcentreerd, stevig tranend (alcohol!)
To the eye:
lightly evolved moderately concentrated cherry, shows legs (alcohol)
Aan de neus:
aantrekkelijke neus met aardbei, kers en rode bes, snoepjes, maar ook wat koffie, licht getoaste vanille (eik) en chocolade
At the nose:
seductive nose of first strawberry, cherry and redcurrant, plus sweets, lightly toasted vanilla (oak) and a touch of coffee and chocolate
In de mond:
sappige mondvullende aanzet met weer kers en bes en de snoepjes, rokerig ook, gedragen door fijne zuren en met mokkatoets; lange fijnfruitige afdronk met kers en bes in de retro
In the mouth:
juicy mouthfilling onset with again cherry and red berries plus candies clad in fine and pungent acid and some smoky coffee; long fine fruity finish with cherry and berries in the retronasal phase
Conclusie
Zoals voorheen: Pinot Noir van "zuiders", niet direct Bourgondisch type: veel rijp rood fruit ingebed in fijne zuren, met ook koffie en snoep, maar geen aardse toetsen. Kan nog 2-3 jaar mee. Tikkeltje minder dan zijn voorganger uit 2007 Grens A/A+		   Conclusion
As before: A Pinot Noir of the "southern" no directly Burgundy type. Lots of ripe red fruit with quite refined acid plus coffee and sweets, but no earthy touch. And one does not notice the high degree of alcohol!The 2007 was a tiny bit better

We hadden hem met kippeburgers in currykleedje (Colruyt) met béarnaisesaus (eveneens Colruyt) en rijst plus bloemkool: heerlijk!

We had it with curried chicken burgers, béarnaise sauce, cauliflower and rice: very good combination!

zeer helder citroengeel met groene flits, rijke viscositeit (alcohol 15%)
To the eye:
very clear lemon with greenish reflections, highly viscous (alcohol 15%)
Aan de neus:
eerst wat gesloten, dan toets boter en kruisbesblad, verderop komen fruit (vooral zomerappel, gele perzik), citrus en ook kruiden met minerale toets
At the nose:
at the onset somewhat closed with touch of white currant leaf and cream, then a broader but still prudent pattern unfolds: ripe fruit (summer apple, peach), citrus and clearly also spices and mineral overtones
In de mond:
heel frisfruitige aanzet - met weer rijpe zomperappel en gele perzik, overgaand naar zowel romig als mineralig en licht bitter smaakpatroon; lange heel elegante afdronk met kalkachtig bittertje in de retro
In the mouth:
sumptuous fruity and juicy onset (summer apple again plus peach), soon evolving to a mouth filling creamy, minerally and slightly bitter Chardonnay pattern; long very elegant finish. Light chalky bitter in the retronasal phase

an wealthy nose with most of the well-known ingredients of chardonnay: almond nuts, mango, yellow peach, lemon, cream, but also mineral touch plus vanilla
In de mond:
mooi geelfruitige en tegelijk friszurige aanzet, goede vulling met nootjes en romigheid en een elegante beklijvende diepfruitige afdronk
In the mouth:
fresh fruity onset, fairly concentrated with nuts and cream; well-integrated long fine fruity finish
Conclusie
De beste in jaren: volfruitig, romig, en tegelijk friszurig en mineralig. Opnieuw deze opmerking: beter dan de eikgelagerde! Grens A+/AA		   Conclusion
a still young but well-balanced refined chardonnay of the mountainous type - it's good to see that no oak has been used here

Conclusie
goed gemaakte fijnfruitige en toch vrij droge Pinot cava: een ware innovatie voor de streek. Codorniu beheerst nu ook de kunst van rosé-cava		   Conclusion
well-made and refined Pinot sparkling: a true innovation for the region. Codorniu has mastered the techniwsue of rosé cava

heel verfrissende aperitiefwijn. Of op zijn Spaans: te drinken bij fruittaart als nagerecht (kriek of framboos!)
