Voor het oog:
zeer donker paarsrood, bijna inktzwart, fel tranend
To the eye:
very dark purplish almost inky red, strong legs
Aan de neus:
mooi gemengde neus met bosfruit (braam!), eik, koffie, chocolade en fijn rokerig
At the nose:
nicely mixed nose with red fruit from the woods, oak, moccha, chocolate and fine smoky touch
In de mond:
rijpfruitige aanzet spoedig evoluerend naar explosieve kracht met net voldoende zuur en stevige maar niet storende tannines; lange diepfruitige en krachtige afdronk; braam in de retro
In the mouth:
ripe fruity onset soon evolving to explosive power and just enough acid to tame it all plus solid tannin; long deepfruity zesty finish; blackberry in the retronasal phase
Conclusie
Van zacht rijp rood fruit tot krachtige zuren en dragende tannines: deze wijn heeft het al. En zeggen dat dit "het kleine broertje van Priorato" wordt genoemd		   Conclusion
From mellow ripe red fruit over lively acid to supportive tannin: this wine has it all. And think of this: Monsant is called "the little nephew of Priorato"!
